Husbandry is the care and keeping of animals. It can also refer to agricultural pursuits such as crop raising and the care and keeping of livestock. Good husbandry is essential for keeping your pets healthy. It also helps to keep the veterinary bills at an acceptable level. This site focuses on small animal and common pet husbandry.

It's your job as the pet owner to recreate, as closely as possible, the natural wild environment of your pet. Do your research, don't think that this site is comprehensive enough to address all conceivable pet care issues.

Learn as much as you can about the pet you want before getting him/her. I strongly recommend that the animal's habitat be completely set up before introducing the pet to it.

Children of all ages should be supervised by adults when caring for and handling pets.
